THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — Career Connections Teacher Diedre McPhereson Jones led their efforts as part of the Be The Voice group which aims to prevent bullying.

Throughout the month of February, they're highlighting efforts by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis by pledging to be more inclusive.

"We got a lot of the students in the building to sign links on the chain and parts of the chain say special quotes like I am the voice of compassion, I am the voice of inclusion, I'm the voice of kindness," said Diedre McPhereson, Thomasville City Schools teacher.

McPhereson says she hopes to see her students practice each of those values throughout the month and as they grow into productive citizens.
