TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - — If you thought this month has been warm, you're right.
The Big Bend got its first taste of summer in March. How warm has it been? We're talking daytime highs you soak in at the beach during May.
Take a look at the high temperatures we have had this March. Through Saturday, we've had more than 20 days where it's been above average while only three have averaged out to be cooler than usual.
When you add all of this up, this month has a chance at becoming one of the warmest March's on record in Tallahassee. However, it is likely March of 2020 will finish in second place.
So what's allowed the pool weather to stick around in the Big Bend for so long? A zonal flow aloft and high pressure has kept any cold front from sweeping through Northern Florida.
If you're tired of the heat, don't sweat it. A cool down is on the way with some storms by midweek. You can read the latest forecast by clicking here.
