TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Authorities say a Tallahassee home has been considered a complete loss after a fire that occurred on Thanksgiving night.

According the Tallahassee Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a residential house fire on Dover Street around 9:37 p.m. on Thursday.

The Tallahassee Police Department noticed a house on fire during routine patrol and alerted TFD.

TFD arrived on scene within four minutes of being dispatched and found a single family residential home fully engulfed with flames.

Crews were on scene for several hours. One person who lived in the residence had to be displaced from the home.

TFD says fire has been ruled accidental and the home is considered a complete loss.

Authorities say this is the second fire in the area in two nights and there is no evidence that the two are connected.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by TPD, Leon County EMS, and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
