TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) — Firefighters say a Tallahassee home has suffered an estimated $60,000 in damages after a fire broke out on Bannerman Road.

The Consolidated Dispatch Agency was notified of a structure fire in the area of Bannerman Road and Meridian Road Tuesday evening.

The Tallahassee Fire Department responded to 299 Bannerman Road and found the home fully involved with flames.

TFD says crews had a difficult time accessing the structure due to grown up vegetation and trees.

This forced firefighters to close down Bannerman Road due to hydrant access to lay water supply hoses.

Fire crews conducted primary and secondary searches once the fire was under control and found everyone had made it out safely prior to the Fire Department’s arrival.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Department and Leon County EMS assisted fire crews on scene.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
