TFD extinguishes building fire on Glenview Drive

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee firefighters are investigating after they say a fire caused $60,000 worth of damages to a building on Glenview Drive.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was alerted to a building fire in the 500 block of Glenview Drive on Monday around 7:00 p.m.

Units from The Tallahassee Fire Department arrived on scene in less than five minutes.

After arriving on scene, crews entry into the building to extinguish the fire.

Early reports indicated someone was inside but firefighters searched and found the home was unoccupied at the time of fire.

Crews remained on scene for several hours performing salvage and overhaul.

The damage to the building is estimated at $60,000 and is currently under investigation by TFD Fire Prevention Division.

Authorities say there were no reported injuries after the fire.

TFD was assisted on scene by Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and Leon County EMS.
