PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) — Two teenagers have been arrested for attempted murder after they shot a victim in the neck behind a local club, leaving him with critical injuries.

The Perry Police Department says the shooting happened on April 27 behind the Infernal Club on South Warner Street. They say 18-year-old Eric Pigford and a 17-year-old male set up a meeting with the victim behind the business.

The victim told police that when got inside his car, he tried to turn the inside light on but was shot in the neck. Perry Police say the victim was hospitalized in critical condition due to his injuries.

Detectives say the 17-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop on May 5 in which he was riding in a vehicle as a passenger. Pigford turned himself in to police custody later that same day.

Police say all three males were acquaintances. They are still trying to determine a motive behind the shooting.
