TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Two juveniles have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting on Carver Street back in April.

The Tallahassee Police Department said that two juveniles, 17-year-old Trekerria Williams and 16-year-old Jhadyn King, have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting on Carver Street.

Police were called to the area the night of Friday, April 3 where they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. That person, who has not been identified by authorities, died from their injuries after being taken to the hospital.

After an investigation, TPD announced Tuesday that it has filed charges on two juveniles in connection to the Carver Street homicide.

They said an investigation revealed that the shooting occurred when one of the suspects tried to rob the victim during a drug deal. The robbery attempt resulted in the victim being fatally shot.

Based on the evidence, both teens are being charged as adults for second degree murder.

Police said both suspects were already being held on charges for an unrelated robbery that occurred on March 30.

During that robbery, the suspects used the LetGo app to set up a meeting with the victim to buy a legitimate item the victim was selling. After consultation with the State Attorney’s Office, police said the suspects are being charged as adults in both cases.
