TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Community College Police Department has been granted full reaccreditation by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation.
According to TCC, the police department remains as the only accredited college police department in Florida.
“The TCC Police Department is proud of having earned reaccreditation,” said Greg Gibson, Chief of Campus Police. “We want our community members to know that we are dedicated to serving and protecting them with the highest degree of professionalism. Accreditation is one way we measure ourselves against the best practices of police profession.”
All TCCPD members receive continuous training and provide safety training such as Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) and Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) courses to students, faculty and staff.
