TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — June is national safety month and Tallahassee Community College wants to help you stay safe.
TCC's Wakulla Center is offering a female self defense class Thursday. It'll be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The center partnered with the Florida Professional Safety Consultants for this event. The class will offer more than just a physical aspect of female self awareness.
"It's important for females to know how to protect themselves. Sometimes it's not always about the physical skill set but also the mental skill set and these things will be addressed tomorrow at the training," said Kourtney Lewis, TCC Gadsden County Manager.
