TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — As the holiday season approaches, Tallahassee Community Colleges Student Services will have their annual "Bright Light" gift drive.
The drive benefits 50 TCC students who are parents.
TCC faculty and staff can select a wish list ornament from the Christmas Tree in the Student Union and then purchase a child's gift.
"We put the student's child's age and what they wanted for Christmas on our website," said Grant Batchelder, the Student Life Coordinator. "This year, over half of the donations were from students. One student in particular donated $750 in order to buy 25 gifts for his fellow students."
Recipients will stop by the Student Union on Wednesday to collect their wrapped gifts.
