(WTXL) — TC Federal Bank has donated $20,000 to three hospitals in the Big Bend and South Georgia area.
In honor of "Healthcare Heroes," the bank donated $5,000 towards the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
The bank also donated $7,500 to Archbold Medical Center's "Feed The Fight challenge" and $2,500 to Grady General Hospital.
“Service is one of our core values,” said Linda Bergman, vice president and branch manager at the Tallahassee location on Kerry Forest Parkway. “We have a wonderful board, and they had a conversation about what we could do to help, not just hunker down, survive and get through it ourselves, but how could we help our communities?”
TC Federal has about 50 employees working in Thomasville, Tallahassee and a loan office in Savannah, Georgia.
“We are here in Tallahassee,” Bergman said. “We live, work and play here, and it’s really important for us to support this community.”
