TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Tuesday, Taylor County declared a local state of emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Last week, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-51 declaring that appropriate measures to control the spread of coronavirus in the State of Florida are necessary, and therefore, directed that a Public Health Emergency be declared in the State of Florida.
The county’s declaration aligns with similar declarations from the State of Florida and the federal government. Taylor County has no confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Some of the best ways to limit transmission of the coronavirus remain washing your hands, covering your cough, and staying home if you feel sick.
