Task Force investigation leads to drug, weapons arrest in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Deputies say a Task Force investigation lead them to finding drugs and weapons during a search of a home in Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team executed a narcotics search warrant at the home of Jimmy Lee Bailey Jr also known as “Bam” on Boundary Street on Friday.

Deputies say the search warrant was obtained as a result of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office's Drug Task Force regarding the possession and sale of illegal narcotics.

During the search, investigators found a large amount of marijuana, cash, 3 firearms and numerous drug paraphernalia items used to package and sell marijuana.

Based on the evidence, Bailey was arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail.

He is being charged with drug possession with intent sell within 1000 feet of a church, possession of weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia.
