TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — From food truck to store front, Tally Mac Shack's first restaurant is now open.

The business, which held it's grand opening on March 8, is located inside Happy Motoring at South Adams Street and FAMU Way.

The gourmet mac and cheese business, which began in 2017, is a triple Food Truck of the Year winner in Tallahassee. For the past four months, they've been working on the new brick and mortar location.

"What's nice about the food truck is that it builds the mystique so everyone is looking for the menu to drop and where we're going to be," said Justin Cruz, Owner and Founder of Tally Mac Shack. "Now, when the family comes into town, you can say 'okay, we can go downtown to Tally Mac Shack's restaurant anytime and be able to enjoy our classic dishes.'"

"We enjoyed it a lot, the weather is helping too, and it's just a great multi-generational thing going on. It's very much of a community thing," said Christine Ingram, first time customer at Tally Mac Shack.

The menu has expanded quite a bit including lobster, different kinds of poultry, and different spices. In case you were wondering, they will continue running the two food trucks like normal.
