LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A 24-year-old Tallahassee woman has been hospitalized in serious condition after crashing into a tree on Old Magnolia Road, blocking lanes for hours Tuesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened on Old Magnolia Road near Old Magnolia Court around 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

They said the woman was traveling southbound on Old Magnolia Road in her SUV when her car crossed the center lane of travel, traveled off the road and hit with a tree.

After the crash, the car then spun counter clockwise and came to final rest in the center of Old Magnolia Road, blocking the north and southbound lanes.

According to FPH's traffic map, the road block was removed roughly two hours later and the 24-year-old driver, who was not identified by FHP, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
