Tallahassee Urban League offers to help residents apply for CARES Act funds

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Urban League is urging Leon County residents struggling to pay their bills to apply for the CARES Act funding.

The organization is working with Leon County officials.

People who lost their jobs were furloughed, or have had their hours reduced because of the pandemic are eligible to receive up to $3,000.

Tallahassee Urban League President says they are ready to help people who are having trouble filling out their applications.

"We have some professional people here ready to take your information and we'll tell you the documents you need to bring," said Curtis Taylor, the president and CEO of Tallahassee Urban League.
