TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A new Habitat for Humanity house will be in the capital city soon!

Habitat for Humanity along with students from FAMU, FSU, and Rickards High School helped with yard work at the new location.

The project of building the home started back in November and Saturday volunteers fixed up the yard by planting seeds and grass.

Students say this is a great way to give back to those in need.

"We are a high school and we don't get the chance to go out and do stuff with the community so I thought it was a really good idea come out here and help people with affordable housing, said Conqualla Scott.

Habitat for Humanity plans on finishing the house in the next month.
