Tallahassee Police investigating armed robbery at Gulf Winds Credit Union

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating after an armed man robbed Gulf Winds Credit Union Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, the Tallahassee Police Department said they responded to a bank robbery at the Gulf Winds Credit Union on North Monroe Street.

According to witnesses, the suspect came into the bank, pulled out a gun and left in a vehicle after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the suspect as an African-American male who was tall and slender. TPD said the man was wearing a blue plaid shirt and had a turquoise bandana over his face.
