TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — According to the Tallahassee Police Department, police were called to a Popeyes on West Tennessee Street just before midnight on
Saturday.
Police say, two men walked up to a car with a gun.
That's when the owner got out and they drove off.
Police were able to track down Samuel Griffin and Jason Williams just down the road.
Police followed the car traveling eastbound on Capital Circle Southwest.
Down the road, Griffin exited the vehicle and ran into the woods.
With the assistance of the Leon County Sheriff's Office’s helicopter, Griffin was found and placed into custody.
The vehicle continued down the road and was stopped in the parking lot of the Leon County Fairgrounds.
That's where police took Williams into custody.
Both were taken to the the Leon County Detention Facility and charged with Robbery Carjacking with a Firearm.
