TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — For kids looking to share their candy for a good cause, one local dentist office is helping make that happen.
A lot of kids look forward to all the candy they get on the last day of October every year, but maybe they can share their candy this year with first responders and our military.
Tallahassee Pediatrics Dentistry dressed up as the famous Toy Story characters this year and continued to help brighten some smiles.
Kids can trade in their candy for $1 per pound, up to $5, and let our troops and first responders enjoy something sweet this Halloween season.
"It's really awesome for us because the kids that come in especially around this time of the year," said Dr. Shawn Hanway, one of the dentists that dressed up. "Be careful don't eat too much candy, brush your teeth really well, and oh yeah well buy back some of your candy so we kind of make it a fun event."
Now as you can imagine, she says a lot of parents don’t schedule a lot of a appointments.
Dr. Hanway also wanted to remind kids to brush their teeth after eating their candy.
