TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — For many Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare patients, music therapy is an important part of recovery.
And while the coronavirus pandemic is forcing many people to stay at home, TMH's music therapy program is finding a way to bring joy to patients.
TMH is going virtual with music therapy available through video chats, social distancing to protect the patients and therapists while maintaining the therapeutic benefits of music.
TMH's musical therapists say since the COVID-19 outbreak they've seen a small decrease in people using the tool.
But those who still rely on it say it's the perfect getaway.
TMH is offering multiple sessions, and you don't have to be a patient, just sign up on TMH's website.
