TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's a monumental weekend in the Capitol City as thousands of students are set to walk across the stage, officially becoming college graduates.
Friday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, FSU graduates were the first to walk across the stage. The guest speaker at that commencement was Tallahassee Mayor John Dailey.
"Congrats! Today is your day and next to your wedding day and the birth of your child and the day you finally pay off your student loans, this is the best day of your life. The world is waiting for you and I hope you take it by storm. I wish you a promising future," said Dailey.
FSU will host another commencement Friday night at 7:30 p.m. John Thiel, a business consultant and member of the FSU Foundation board of trustees, will be the speaker.
