TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The City of Tallahassee and Leon County are coming together to work on their Comprehensive Plan.

That plan details ways to move the city and county forward and Monday, the team will be getting help to develop it.

The community input will affect the Land Use and Mobility elements of the Tallahassee-Leon County Comprehensive Plan. That element provides the blueprint for growth and development.

Monday is the first of five Deep Dive workshops, focusing on five different goals.

Goal One is Places Where People Want to Live, Work, Learn and Play.

"Tonight's workshop is on Goal 1, which is places where people want to live, learn, work, and play, and it will cover objectives ranging from how we accommodate our future population growth to establishing context areas for our future growth and development to continuing to preserve our rural areas," said Senior Planner Mike Alfano. "They will be able to give feedback on all of these objectives."

If you can't make Monday's workshop, there are four more.

All of the open houses and workshops will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you can't make it out, there's also an online survey that you can fill out.
