TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Tallahassee-Leon Comprehensive Plan is getting a long awaited review.
Tallahassee and Leon County Commissions held a workshop on Tuesday and the review focused mainly on two elements of the plan, land use and affordable housing.
After review, commissioners moved to accept the plan and expand the scope of it.
This means they'll be another review of the 11 elements of the plan, which would require another Request for Proposal.
Commissioner Jeremy Matlow says it’s been a long time since all elements were reviewed together.
”Previously we had a scope looking at just a couple of elements but the vote today basically said we want to take all eleven elements and bring an RFP out that can update all of those," said Matlow. "So it’ll be the first time in 30 years that the entire plan has been up for update.”
An RFP process was already in process. The board moved to stop the process and start a new one to include all elements.
