TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A local lawyer created a new Youtube show to inspire people to have hope during this difficult time.
This is what she had to say about it in a live exclusive interview on Sunrise Weekends:
What inspired you to want to start this Come Back show on YouTube?
My law partner Jimmy Fasig and I just felt we were getting enough negativity right now, both politically and due to Covid and all the isolation and changes to our lifestyle, and we wanted to focus on some of the good stories out there. We thought people needed some inspiration and some motivation and we wanted to bring them stories of people from right here in our own communities who have overcome tremendous adversity to get the life that they always dreamed of that allows them to help other people.
From the stories you've heard so far, what is one that has stuck with you, you want to tell our viewers this morning?
Maggie cook. She went from being a homeless orphan in Mexico who had to literally hunt and kill her own food with a knife she still has and uses in her talks today. She learned to become an extraordinary basketball player which got her a scholarship which led to her coming to America and getting the opportunity to compete in a salsa making contest which she won. She parlayed that into multi million dollar contracts with retailers like whole foods. About five years ago, she sold her company, Maggie’s salsa, for $231 million.
When someone watches your show, what do you hope the local community gets from it?
I hope people get inspiration from the come back stronger show. I hope they get encouragement. I hope they get the feeling that everybody out there wants them to be successful. Everybody out there wants them to have their best life.
Where can people watch?
You can always watch it on YouTube on the Fasig Brooks channel.
