TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Film appreciation, that's what a local non-profit wants to share with people in the Big Bend.
The Tallahassee Film Society is one of the largest film societies in the South that screens more than 100 films a year to the public.
They also host film festivals and have a film school.
House member Doug Martin says the films in their screenings are thought provoking.
"Although the multiplexes the commercial theaters bring the superheroes we bring the foreign films, the documentaries, the art films, the films that make people think," said Doug Martin, the Tallahassee Film Society House Manager.
The Film Society plans to continue showing unique films to keep fans coming back.
