TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — St. Patrick's Day is a celebration for many but for the Daniels family it's a day meant to honor the loved ones' they lost in a car accident seven years ago.
Not only did the Daniels family celebrate the lives they lost but they also used the anniversary to encourage others not to drive under the influence.
They started at Lake Ella with a memorial service before marching to Tennessee and Monroe Street where the accident happened.
Dianne Daniels tragically lost her daughter, grandson, and her grandson's best friend when a young man on the drug spice, hit their car from behind.
Daniels says her grandson, Vincent, would be turning 17 this year and as Daniels reflects on the day that forever changed her life, she says she has found new strength honoring them with this annual march.
Daniels invites anyone in the community to join her and her family as they encourage everyone to think twice, and then to stop before getting behind the wheel under the influence.
