TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Almost 100 jobs are being permanently eliminated at Conduent Federal Solutions in Tallahassee.

An email was sent to Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity on Friday, informing the employees they would be laid off "due to a change in business needs of a client."

Terminations will take place on April 25.

Headquartered in New Jersey, Conduent provides Marketing and Advertising, Information Technology and Services, Staffing and Recruiting for businesses and governments. It employs over 90,000 people globally, according to their website.

The affected Tallahassee call center is located within the Summit East Technology Park on Mahan Drive and is one of several call centers the company operates citywide.

Conduent's most recent fiscal year was rocky.

The company's pivotal CEO stepped down in May, and, according to NASDAQ, it is expected to lose at least $2.6 million in 2020. Conduent announced additional layoffs around the country.
