Tallahassee Couple Involved in Sexual Battery of a Minor Arrested

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee couple has been arrested on charges related to the sexual assault of a helpless victim under the age of 16.

Shane Ebright, 34, and Marylynn Muncaster, 23, were arrested on Monday after police were called to investigate a potential sexual battery.

According to a probable cause document, the 14-year-old child was picked up by Muncaster, who also had Ebright and with two others with her, and went driving around Leon County on April 22.

When they finished visiting various places, they went to the Muncaster and Ebright's house where they all began drinking and playing games. The victim also told police that they had been smoking weed.

At some point, the two others left, leaving Ebright, Muncaster, and the victim inside the home. The document said that the victim went to lie down on the couple's bed, due to the victim being very intoxicated.

Muncaster told police that she had believed that the victim had gone to sleep, so she and Ebright began having sex on the bed, next to the victim.

The victim said that eventually, Ebright started "trying to involve" the victim in the couple's intercourse. The documents said that Ebright finally stopped when the victim began crying.

After that, Ebright left the house and slept outside in the car.

During a medical exam, two injuries were found on the victim's genitals, which was consistent with the victim's account.

Both were arrested and taken to Leon County Jail. Ebright was charged with sexual assault. Muncaster was charged with child abuse and lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim less than 16-years-old.
