TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Members of the nine-seat Police Citizens Review Board will be selected by city commissioners at the January 27 meeting.

The city says it has more than 60 applicants interested in becoming a member.

The board was put in place after three officer-involved shootings in Tallahassee.

Members will weigh in on situations like these in the future, with policy as the main focus on the review board.

Similar to other advisory boards, members will provide recommendations to the commission on actions to prevent these incidents.

The city says the selection process will make sure everyone in the community is represented.
