TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — More changes for Tallahassee Classical School as parents wait to see if the school will be ready in time for the Fall 2020 school year.
Adrienne Campbell, a co-founder of the school, will be the school's first principal. We also learned that the school is purchasing a 13-acre property in Southwood.
Despite a delay in getting the school open, Campbell is positive they'll be ready next Fall.
"We have taken a lot of steps and a lot of measures over the summer," said Campbell. "We've been doing a lot of work with the city and the county and with St. Joe and Southwood in order to put all the steps in place to be able to break ground in the fall, close in the fall and ensure that our property will be up and built and running by August of 2020."
The school is expected to announce its groundbreaking in the next couple of weeks.
The first class is expected to graduated in the Spring of 2025.
