Tallahassee Airport experiences increase in passenger traffic

More people are flying in and out of the Tallahassee International Airport.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — More people are flying in and out of the Tallahassee International Airport.

According to airport authorities, January saw a ten percent increase in passengers over last January.

The staff at the airport is staying prepared as these numbers are expected to rise.

Their number one priority is to make sure everyone stays safe during time where there is a lot of passenger traffic.

"It's exciting for us and we like to be apart of it. Our number one focus is maintaining a safe, secure, efficient customer friendly environments for our travelers," said David Pollard, the Interim Director of Aviation.
