LEON COUNTY, Fla. — It was an exciting day for the Leon County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy members.
On Thursday morning they got a SWAT demonstration. SWAT team members were firing weapons and doing wall climbs.
The goal was to show what the officers do in the field.
"A lot of different aspects of all the different specialized teams. I guess my favorite part of all of it was really just the teamwork, the coordination, that goes into all the different teams really working towards that common goal," said Stone Grable, Citizen's Academy member. "Everybody's jobs in all these different aspects of what they do is critical, and the fact that they're all working together to accomplish that same goal is really impressive."
The Citizen's Academy is offered twice a year.
