SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is searching for three people who have been passing counterfeit bills at local businesses.

Deputies say in one case, one suspect entered Moe’s and passed a counterfeit $ 100 bill. She then left in an unknown vehicle.

In a second instance, two suspects arrived together at the McDonald's on C.R. 136 just off I-75 in a black Jeep Renegade and passed two counterfeit $20 bills in the drive-thru. They then entered the store and completed a third transaction with another counterfeit $20 bill.

When they attempted a fourth transaction, an employee became suspicious and checked the $20 bill and discovered it was counterfeit. The suspects then ran away from the store in an unknown direction.

If you recognize either of them, you are asked to contact Investigator Chris Frost at 386-364-7993. You may remain anonymous.
