MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) — A suspect has been hospitalized in Tallahassee after am hours-long stand off led to an officer-involved shooting in Moultrie.
According to an ABC affiliate in Albany, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Moultrie.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded after receiving 911 call about a man threatening his father and another person with a knife. When officers arrived, the suspect confronted them with a deer rifle.
WALB reports officers tried for hours to get the man to put the gun down, but he refused to comply and fired a shot at officers. Officers then returned fire, hitting the suspect once.
The suspect was admitted into a Tallahassee hospital in stable condition.
