TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) — A man is behind bars after police say he robbed a FSU student on campus back in October.

The Florida State University Police Department says the robbery took place in the 700 block of University Way in the morning of October 16.

FSUPD investigators identified Michael T. Hall, 33, as a suspect and issued warrants for his arrest.

During the robbery police say Hall approached the victim, pushed them and snatched their cell phone from their hand.

Hall then ran off with the phone and entered a vehicle that was driving slowly on University Way.

FSUPD says Hall was picked up by the U.S. Marshals Service Friday morning and transported to FSU Police headquarters.

Hall was then transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Police say he is being charged with robbery by sudden snatching. Hall is not affiliated with FSU.
