Suspect arrested in connection to homicide at Tyson plant in Camilla, GBI investigating

CAMILLA, Ga. (WTXL) — Georgia authorities have arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide that happened at the Tyson plant in Camilla on Tuesday.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Camilla Police Department requested the GBI assist them with a homicide that happened around 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday.

Authoritative say 31-year-old Rondarius Radahn Williams, of Camilla, was shot at the Tyson plant in Camilla.

Williams was transported to Mitchell County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

After fleeing the scene, 25-year-old Anwan Dominic Shivers,of Cairo, was identified as a suspect and taken into custody by the Thomasville Police Department.

Shivers is currently being held in the Mitchell County Jail and charges are pending.

The Camilla Police Department and GBI says they will continue to follow leads in this active investigation.
