TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man was arrested after police say he robbed a victim at gunpoint on Easter Sunday near the area of Keith Street.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, officers responded to an armed robbery that happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

When police arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim who stated, he had driven to the area of the 2200 block of Keith Street in order to complete a transaction he had set up on the LetGo app.

LetGo is an marketplace app that is used for buying and selling items.

When the victim arrived at the address, he noticed it appeared to be a vacant lot.

Police say he also noticed the suspect standing nearby and asked if he was the buyer, and the suspect said he was not.

TPD says the victim then circled the neighborhood and returned to the same area.

The suspect approached him and admitted to being the interested buyer.

Police say the victim handed the property over to the suspect to look at, the suspect put the property into a backpack and told the victim he did not have any money.

When the victim demanded his property back, the suspect reached into his backpack and pulled out a handgun.

The suspect then pointed the gun at the victim and told him to drive away.

After the robbery, the suspect ran away.

Fortunately, the victim was able to see the house he went into and reported it to TPD.

TPD quickly arrived and all the people inside of the house came out.

Although he had changed clothes, the victim was still able to identify the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Leonard Williams.

During a search of the backpack, TPD found stolen property and a handgun.

Based on the evidence, Williams was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

He is being charged with robbery with a firearm.
