TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's a tale of two pandemics.
COVID has been tough on a lot of people but not everybody can say they've lived through everything Veronica Jones has.
Jones celebrated her 103rd birthday over the weekend, she's currently living through her second pandemic.
She lived through the Spanish Flu in the 20th century and now this one.
Jones says she has seen many things but she credits her long life to being surrounded by a loving family.
"Wonderful people, I don't think I could ever find another family as close and nice as this one," said Jones.
Jones says the secret to surviving this long is finding laughter and joy in the small things.
