TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State's latest win against Alabama is only making Haggins even more popular with this fan base.

He's now 4 and 0 as an interim head coach for the Noles.

Fans shared their appreciation for Coach Haggins on Saturday.

Some call him 8-5-Odell. Others say he's 4-and-Odell.

Whatever name you're going with... Florida State fans have nothing but positive things to say about Odell Haggins.

"He bleeds and dies FSU...he's a die-hard fan...he means a lot, said Ryan Price, FSU fan.

A man who played for FSU in his prime and came back to Tallahassee to coach. And many fans are suggesting they'd be proud to support Haggins in a more permanent role.

"I think they're onto something with the new head coach...and I love Odell Haggins personally and I think he would be a great hire," said Price.

"I like Odell. He's a hometown dude. He's been here for a long time. He's a good guy," said Chipper Andzel, FSU Fan.

So popular he's being honored on t-shirts. He even inspired a celebratory beverage at Madison Social... the Powerade Mimosa.

"I think it gives you that energy you need for the rest of the day," said Sean Vith, FSU fan.

Because these fans like their interim head coach won't have anything to do with the sports drink preferred by arch-rival Florida Gators and their fans.

Some fans also say that Haggins reminds them of a coaching legend.

"The Bobby Bowden era...I think that's what Florida State football needs to get back to. I think that he's experienced that and he knows what that kind of football is and I think everyone wants that here in Tallahassee," said Vith.

One thing is certain -- this man is giving fans something to cheer about.
