THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The superintendent of Thomasville City Schools has resigned.
Thomasville City Board of Education posted on its website that they unanimously accepted the resignation of Dr. Laine K. Reichert on Wednesday.
The school board said daily operations will now be handled by Assistant Superintendent Daniel Oldham until an interim superintendent is named. The board says they will immediately begin a search for a new superintendent.
No reason has been given so far as to why Dr. Reichert resigned.
