TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — If you need a ride to the polls on Tuesday, StarMetro is providing a way to get there free of charge.
The city's public transportation system will be taking passengers to and from voting precincts as long as they are open.
The service is offered on regular bus routes and Dial-A-Ride service.
The director of StarMetro, Angela Baldwin, says this is a day they look forward to every election.
"Our customers have expressed their appreciation for fare-free service on election days in the past and we're happy to continue this tradition for the 2020 primary as well as the general election," said Baldwin. "And this has been an ongoing and well-received program by our community and we're pleased to offer this service again."
Riders will need to be traveling to their assigned polling location or the elections office and will need to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
