THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Thomas County will soon be home to a Starbucks that will be located along US 19 South.
That highway is a well-traveled road, and is already home to other chain businesses like Zaxby's and Longhorn Steakhouse.
Thomasville already has three other coffee shops, including a local spot downtown, Grassroots Coffee Company. The downtown shop has a loyal customer base, and locals are not worried about seeing another chain move into town.
"Thomasville is growing by the minute. With that being stated, the more places that encourage jobs or anything else like that, I think that's a great idea," said Dylan Jones, a Thomasville resident. "I think I would still come to Grassroots. It's along my daily route really. Where I'm going, it's right there beside me. I'm a local supporter of it. I've been going there for years."
The Starbucks is expected to open this fall, along with a Mattress One and an AT&T store.
