TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Sleep in Heavenly Peace is working with communities to provide bunk beds for any children in need for the Marianna Hurricane Michael Disaster Relief on Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They will build and distribute 50 bunk beds for Hurricane Michael victims in Jackson and Calhoun counties at Lowes off Malloy Plaza in Marianna, Florida.

Beds will also come with mattresses and sheets.

John Cousins, the Tallahassee Chapter President, is looking for more volunteers to help out on the important cause.

"Hurricane Michael was supposed to hit here at some point of time, so it could've been us," said Cousins. "These are brothers and sisters that just live down the road from us, and there's still a huge need well over two years later. We just want to look out for the community."

To volunteer or request a bed, individuals are encouraged to apply on their website, available by clicking here.

The next event is on Jan. 9 in Crawfordville, Florida.

You can donate bedding to Sleep in Heavenly Peace at any Living Harvest Thrift Store in Tallahassee.
