PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) — A death investigation is underway in Perry after human remains were found on a in a wooded area near the U.S. Post Office in Perry.
The Perry Police Department says the remains were located in the area of 119 East Church Street, near the US Post Office.
Police say that they are unable to identify the deceased person at this stage of the investigation. As more information is obtained and if a positive identity can be determined, they will contact the person's next of kin.
At this time it is unknown what the person's race or gender is, how the person died or whether foul play was involved.
