(WTXL) — A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for multiple counties in South Georgia.
The National Weather Service says the warning will be in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday.
The counties impacted include Clinch, Lanier and Lowndes.
NWS says gusts of up to 60 mph and hail are possible with this storm.
A severe thunderstorm warning is issued when either a severe thunderstorm is reported to be producing hail one inch or larger in diameter and/or winds equal or exceed 58 miles an hour. If an warning is issued, people in the affected area should seek safe shelter immediately.
