TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Big Bend area.
The affected counties are northern Jefferson County, east central Leon County, northwestern Madison County, and southwestern Brooks County.
The warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m.
At 6:33 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest of Monticello, moving east at 30 mph. Wind gusts up to 60 mph and nickel size hail may occur.
