TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Second Harvest of the Big Bend and the Tallahassee Urban League are making sure families have food on their table.
On Friday, 300 people received food at their joint food drive.
Boxes filled with produce, bread, and milk were delivered to vehicles outside the Tallahassee Urban League on Old Bainbridge Road.
The president the Tallahassee Urban League says they're thankful they get to work with organizations like Second Harvest.
"We are just so thankful to the Lord to have this opportunity to be able to serve our people," said Curtis Taylor, the President of Tallahassee Urban League. "Especially through this pandemic time. People that have lost their jobs, been furlough from their jobs, so food is essential."
Second Harvest will be holding more events like this Saturday.
