TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — As the need to feed families remains high, Second Harvest of the Big Bend and Envision Credit Union are teaming up for the Envision No Hunger campaign.

Together, they will raise money for Second Harvest’s Backpack Program.

During the school year, the program provides children with a bag of food each Friday to ensure their nutritional needs are met over the weekend.

As part of that partnership, Envision has offered to match all gifts dollar-for-dollar, up to $30,000 until July 31st.

Second Harvest's goal is to provide 1,500 backpacks for hungry children this upcoming school year.

Since 2010, the program has provided more than 1,000 bags of food weekly to children in Leon, Gadsden, Madison, Wakulla, Jackson, Jefferson, and Taylor counties.
