TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Second Harvest held their third mass distribution on Wednesday with 1,500 meal kits, fresh fruit and vegetables and cars wrapped around the parking lot at Bragg Memorial Stadium.
In today's tough times, Second Harvest of the Big Bend is ensuring that no family goes hungry, and that the food distribution is safe.
"So, to make sure food still gets out, but the individual and volunteer handing the food is still safe, we have provided gloves, sanitation and everybody is wearing masks," said Monique Ellsworth, CEO of Second Harvest of the Big Bend. "We have also provided tables so we can roll the food to the cars."
Second Harvest is doing their best to provide for the community, and donations are always welcome.
